Reports a test of the stability of the model used in Jay Forrester's World Dynamics''. When Forrester's fundamentally Malthusian assumptions were replaced by technological-optimist views, computer simulations predicted a stable population with increasing quality of life, rather than a population crash and decreasing quality of life.
