Success Orientation and the Attractiveness of Competent Males and Females.
Michelini, Ronald L.; And Others
Sex Roles: A Journal of Research, v7 n4 p391-401 Apr 1981
In one experiment, success orientation in both sexes was evaluated more favorably than nonsuccess orientation. In another experiment, females desiring success were expected to have relatively more difficulty in getting married but were not perceived as less romantically attractive. Results suggest that traditional sex role beliefs are changing. (Author/GC)
