Persons changing the most (in a positive direction) as the result of sensitivity training had the following characteristics: responsibility, achievement and original thinking. Rohrbaugh, Michael; Bartels, Bryan D. – Small Group Behavior, 1975
Yalom's Q-sort questionnaire was administered to 13 groups and then item analized. Factor analysis identified seven major "curative" factors. Analysis of variance and correlation techniques showed that part of the variation in curative factor perception is related to characteristics of groups and/or their participants. (SE)

The author presents the argument that in a group situation subjects are conditioned toward similarity while afterward, the individual's behavior gradually returns to an "operant level". The major concern of this study is changes in self-acceptance as related to different college classroom models. The specific research hypothesis is that self-acceptance increases as a function of the encounter classroom model. This was confirmed. Increased self-acceptance also appeared stable over time. (NG)
