Two studies were conducted that explored observers' perceptions of responsibility of a victim for her involvement in a premeditated crime. Male and female college students listened to tapes of a purported victim describing a crime (either a rape or a mugging). There was general tendency toward a sympathetic reaction pattern. (Author)

A study of desire for, frequency of, and attitudes towards extramarital involvement (EMI) was conducted, using 100 male and female college students ranging in age from 19 to 55. The subject content of the study was a public forested area. Both user and general populations of the area were sampled to obtain a diversity of results about the functional nature of attitudes and/or behavior. Married couples (N=20) were administered the Self-rating Scale of Intelligence and the Otis intelligence test. Positive correlations were generally found between self-other intelligence estimates and actual intelligence for both husbands and wives. (Author)

College-age subjects (N=26) were given a spelling test during which approximately half could ask for help from a child, the rest from a same-aged adult.
