The simplified systems for cataloging and classifying exhibition catalogs used at the Marlborough Gallery Library and the Wildenstein Gallery Library in New York are discussed, with emphasis on the brief kind of bibliographic information and other points of access needed in a non-research oriented library. Mechanization has been introduced in the preparation of UDC and alphabetical indexes using a KWIC Program to access directly documentation files. A special feature of the system is that the KWIC serial number equals the program sorting number equals the encoded UDC form equals the storage or shelving number. (9 references) (Author/NH)

The Georgia Tech Architecture Library slide collection is being revolutionized by adapting the Santa Cruz Slide Classification System. The slide catalog record is being transferred inexpensively to tapes and updated by the computer. Computer programs print out indexes in any of fifteen different sort fields. (Author)
