Partnering for Student Transfer Success
Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges
Washington's community and technical colleges, private non-profit baccalaureate, and public baccalaureate colleges and universities have a proud history of partnering to serve students. Nowhere is this cooperation more evident than in the smooth transfer process from community and technical colleges into four-year colleges and universities. This brief highlights and explains four factors that lead to an efficient transfer. They include: (1) Following a Clear Pathway; (2) Completing an Associate Degree before Transfer; (3) Making Sure All Academic Credits Transfer; and (4) Utilizing a Multi-Sector Group to Solve Emerging Issues.
