Examined the contributions of Task Uncertainty and Perceptual Cohesiveness to changes in block design performance in older adults (N=83). Task-oriented and patient-oriented styles were used to instruct 28 patients in a block design task. The patient-oriented style resulted in more nonverbal positivity.
