In a survey of 100 allied health deans/directors (80% responses), 58% reported their intention to leave within 10 years, 76% for retirement. They identified an average of five candidates per vacancy and listed important leadership skills needed. Some areas (physical medicine and rehabilitation) have fewer potential leadership candidates.
