Studied the role of therapist acceptance of patient values, patient acceptance of therapist values, and value persuasion on outcome among 13 psychotherapy dyads. A strong relationship was found between the patients' acquisition of their therapists' values and their ratings of improvement. (Author)

Two self-report measures of openness and two behavioral measures of openness were administered to 50 subjects prior to and immediately following one of four treatment procedures. Contrary to prediction, none of the measures indicated an increase in openness for those subjects who had undergone openness-promoting treatments. (Author)

On the basis of an instrument designed to detect changes in teachers' attitudes as a result of a drug education course, trial results on 200 teachers indicate the instrument does measure changes in attitude. These changes reflect a move from punitive to rehabilitative measures in response to major drug incidents. (Author)
