Yalom's Q-sort questionnaire was administered to 13 groups and then item analized. Factor analysis identified seven major "curative" factors. Analysis of variance and correlation techniques showed that part of the variation in curative factor perception is related to characteristics of groups and/or their participants. (SE)

This study aimed at assessing whether successful therapy outcome is related to positive attitudes towards therapists. Subjects were 93 clients. Those clients who were very satisfied with therapy, as opposed to those who were not very satisfied, described their therapists as warmer, more likable, more active, and more involved. (Author/SE)

A multivariate analysis of postanxiety measures showed no differences between the treatment groups but in comparison to the no-treatment control group both treatments were associated with significant anxiety reduction on four measures related to speech disturbance, extraneous body movement, and self-reported anxiety. The nature and development of interpersonal perceptions in a T group were studied. Results indicate that group members' perceptions are relatively complex and change markedly over sessions in ways consistent with current theories of group development.
