Landauer, T. K.; And Others – Child Develop, 1970
Nursery school children were asked to perform tasks by their own and other mothers. There was only slight consistency across mothers in the tendency of children to obey. However, obedience was strongly determined by the preexisting relationship between adult and child, 44 to 52 children were less obedient to their own mothers. (Author/WY)

Shine, Lester C., II – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1982
For multi-subject experiments with all factors repeated (a single independent group of subjects), three multi-subject behavior functions are identified and analyzed. They are based on Shine's actualized and pure single-subject behavior functions extended to multi-subject experiments with some factors nonrepeated (several independent groups of…

Marini, David C. – 1979
The various relationships of stress arousal and stress-prone personality traits to menstrual distress were investigated in order to quantify psychophysiological arousal differences between high and low menstrual distress symptom reporters and examine differences in stress-prone personality traits between high and low menstrual distress symptom…

Pinney, Robert H. – 1970
This study attempted to identify correlates of successful teaching in the presentation behavior of pre-intern teachers. The sample was drawn from 54 Stanford students who each taught one of six preset social studies or English lessons to 25 eighth and ninth graders. Each pupil took a multiple-choice comprehension test which was used to compute a…

Magnusson, David; Stattin, Hakan – Journal of Research in Personality, 1981
Studied the stability of cross-situational anxiety reactions over six months to determine the stability of cross-situational patterns of behavior. Inventory and self-report description data analysis indicated a high and significant stability of cross-situational profiles for reactions across verbally described anxiety provocative situations. Calcote, Lynn G. – 1974
Ninety-six female introductory psychology students differing in terms of the dimensions of neuroticism-stability and introversion-extraversion performed two sets of thirty trials each on a choice reaction time task. On one of the sets of trials the Ss were observed by two female observers and on the other set of trials the observers were not…

Downs, William R. – Journal of Youth and Adolescence, 1985
This paper uses longitudinal data and multiple regression of follow-up data to identify direction of causality among adolescent alcohol use, normative structure toward alcohol, and peer alcohol use. Data were collected on a random sample of 100 adolescents. Separate regressions were performed on male and female respondents. (Author/LMO)

This document reports on research on the effects which the presence of other individuals have on another individual's performance. The experiment was conducted as follows: Selected male and female subjects were given the task of following a blind maze with a stylus. They were tested in performance under three different circumstances, alone, with a…

Powers, Keiko Ichikawa; Anglin, M. Douglas – Evaluation Review, 1993
Whether methadone maintenance treatment demonstrates cumulative (rehabilitative) or stabilizing effects on behavior of narcotics addicts over multiple treatment episodes was studied involving 993 addicts in a quasi-experimental design. Observed behavioral changes and longitudinal self-reports indicate stabilizing, but not cumulative, effects. (SLD)
