The results of the study indicated that dogmatism was not found to be related significantly to the four objective criteria of improvement during hospitalization. A tentative conclusion reached was that open mindedness" may contribute to level of improvement during hospitalization but has little relevance to success after discharge. (Author/CG)

A study is reported of the relationships between an abbreviated dogmatism scale, two dogmatism subscales, and perceptions of time. Among the conclusions, it was found that for men and women, dogmatism relates to anxiety about time, a reduction in the present's and future's importance, and an emphasis on the past. (Author)

Two self-report measures of openness and two behavioral measures of openness were administered to 50 subjects prior to and immediately following one of four treatment procedures.
