Siskind, George – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1973
This analysis of choice of Thematic Apperception Test cards administered to psychiatric patients showed that interns did administer more sexual-romantic cards to female than to male patients; staff psychologists did not. Sample size does not justify a conclusion that a genuine difference exists between staff psychologists and interns. (Author)

Viney, Linda L. – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1974
Rotter's Index of generalized expectancies for the internal or external control of reinforcement has been shown to predict successfully a variety of behaviors. An important future use of this scale may be the examination of the predictive power of individual items rather than generalized expectancies. (EK)

Nowinski, Joseph K.; LoPiccolo, Joseph – Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy, 1979
The role of formal assessment in the practice of sex therapy with couples is discussed. A case is made for the use of behaviorally oriented paper-and-pencil tests of the self-report variety in clinical settings. Such procedures yield information relevant to diagnosis. (Author)
