Study results indicated that schizophrenics who shocked themselves upon experiencing auditory hallucinations failed to show significantly greater improvement than the control group. Thus the general conclusion drawn is that conditioning did not appear to be the mechanism by which most of the significant therapeutic changes occurred. (Author)

A theory of timing is proposed, based on the observation that signals of reinforcement elicit adjunctive behaviors. Transitions between these behaviors are described as a Poisson process. These behaviors may come to serve as the basis for conditional discriminations of the passage of time. (SLD)

The present results indicate that models can facilitate good interview behavior. The models significantly affected the duration and the degree of revealingness of interview responses. Across modeling conditions subjects talked longer to the female interviewer but were not more revealing than they were with the male interviewer. (Author)
