Determined effects of time limits on interview behavior of Type A and B persons. Type A and B participants discussed positive and negative aspects of social life with counselors in time-limited or time-unlimited conditions. Examined female college students' (N=466) drug use, marihuana use in particular. Results indicated that the gap in marihuana usage patterns between females and males has substantially narrowed. Female marihuana users used other drugs quite extensively and had friends who use marihuana. Peer influence was a major factor in drug use. (JAC)

Presents utilization profiles for 15 community services among 989 elderly residents of 18 small Kansas towns. Distance estimates to most services used were greater than estimates to nearest service, frequency of use was inversely correlated with distance to services, and most elderly walked or drove themselves to services. Assessed effects of orally presented storybook models on preschool children who were asked to perform a related achievement task. Results indicated that children given one exposure to the model did no better than controls, although story recall did correlate with task solution. Repeated exposure produced uniform retention.
