The Classroom Strategy Survey (CSS) is an investigation of teachers' thinking about strategies for coping with 12 types of problem students. Teachers were interviewed with a series of vignettes. This report deals with teachers' responses to the vignettes. (Author/GK)

Findings indicate minimal differences, on diagnostic tests, between children who exhibited torque and those who did not. Torque is defined as the circling of any X in a clockwise direction. Burden of caregivers was less when more visits were paid to the dementia patient by other relatives. Severity of behavioral problems was not associated with higher levels of burden. The results suggest the importance of providing support to caregivers as a critical step in community care. (Author)

The purpose of this study was to survey state departments of special education regarding their terminologies of behavioral disorders.
