The effect of experimental directions designed to reduce a home-career conflict in women's occupational choices on the Kuder Occupational Interest Survey was investigated. This study investigated effects of receiving results of the Kuder Occupational Interest Survey on several aspects of vocational behavior among high school students. It was found that receiving results increased self-knowledge compared to a control group who received none. Implications for guidance programs in the schools are discussed. (Author)

More than 1000 persons were located more than 12 years after taking the Kuder Occupational Survey. Fifty-one percent were employed in occupations consistent with their early interest profiles.
