Advantages and Disadvantages of Using the Answer-Until-Correct Multiple-Choice Test Format for a Class of Non-STEM Majors
Journal of Chemical Education, v98 n6 p2128-2131 Jun 2021
This paper deals with the advantages and disadvantages to both the faculty member and to the students of using the answer-until-correct multiple-choice test format for a class specifically designed for non-STEM majors, who need a breath of knowledge science course. Comments from students are given about why they prefer answer-until-correct examinations. In addition, data are given about how the students approach and if the students actually learn from an answer-until-correct examination.
