Besyner, James K.; And Others – Measurement and Evaluation in Guidance, 1978
This article describes an attempt to differntiate Holland's six types by means of personality need variables. Participants were administered Holland's VPI and Jackson's Personality Research Form (PRF). One-way analyses of variance revealed that PRF variables could not differentiate Holland's six types. The Personality Research Form (PRF) was administered to 1,095 college students. Students were divided into groups of nonusers of drugs and alcohol and users of a variety of drug combinations. Results suggest organization of motivational tendencies is the same for both sexes and for different types of substance users. (Author)
