The article discusses possible reasons and statistical sex differences concerning dating anxiety, and then goes on to describe four models proposed to account for these data. Social skill training and "practice dating" are suggested as treatments. Practical considerations in the implementation of the treatment are also dealt with. (LPG)

The role of feedback in T-groups was studied. Results indicate that feedback increases as T-groups progress, feedback is more emotional and non-evaluative than cognitive in nature, positive and direct feedback to the leaders increases as the group develops, and specific feedback between members increases as groups progress. A group of college males who had reported themselves unable to interact with women were contacted and asked to record every interaction for a week. Following this period a series of behavioral tests was given. After pretesting shy subjects were randomly assigned to a control group or a treatment group. Treatment improved social skills.
