Results of 7200 responses recorded from 180 children indicate that there is a tendency for stimuli which are pigmented in the orange-red arc of the spectrum to have a high noticeability factor. (Author)

Girls in Grades 7, 8, and 9 practiced mirror-tracing in a neutral colored room to a criterion before being tested in their preferred or nonpreferred colored rooms. The errors decreased significantly in the preferred room, while the time to complete changed minimally. (Author)

Synaesthesia, the phenomenon of intersensory perception, is suggested as a way to design arts experiences which facilitate appreciation for and involvement with music. Teaching ideas are given for grades 1-3 and grades 4-7 on synaesthetic activities melding music and color. (SJL)
