Application of Confirmatory Factor Analysis to Verify the Construct Validity of the Behavior Problem Checklist and the Bristol Social Adjustment Guides.

The subscales of the Bristol Social Adjustment Guides are compared with those of the Behavior Problem Checklist so as to test the hypothesis of a two-factor structure in these rating scales. The specificity of each subtest was also investigated. (Author/GK)

Racial Differences in Behavior Disorders of Children

Compared black (N=614) and white (N=1,162) children on the Behavior Problem Checklist. Blacks were judged to have a greater frequency of behavior disorders than whites. A number of interactions of race with other variables were found, and their meanings are discussed. (Author)
