Proportional samples of 113 residents (68 successes and 45 failures) were randomly selected from 1,361 residents (838 successes and 523 failures) who entered state community corrections centers in Michigan. Cross-validated multiple regression analyses show employment status at the centers to be the most powerful predictor of success. (Author)
