Facilitating Student-Instructor and Student-Student Interaction during Remote Learning Using a 3D Printed Mirror Mount
Stevens, Karen E.; Stevens, Richard E.; Grady, Ryan L.
Journal of Chemical Education, v98 n4 p1436-1441 Apr 2021
Schools and universities had to quickly adapt to a distance-learning model when the COVID-19 virus became a worldwide pandemic. In response, teachers found alternative ways to deliver course content and also interact with their students one-on-one to help them learn the material. We present here an inexpensive mirror mount for students to use on their laptops which can enable a real-time interaction between learner and instructor. Students can have their work seen by the instructor or TA on a regular notepad, which the instructor/TA can then in turn annotate or use to otherwise provide feedback which the student can see on their own laptop screen.
