Sahin, Feride; Ates, Salih – Electronic Journal for Research in Science & Mathematics Education, 2023
The aim of this study is to examine whether the structural model that Sahin and Ates (2020) put forward about the relationship among students' scientific literacy levels, logical thinking ability, cognitive styles, mental capacity, and mental rotation ability differ in terms of gender. A causal-comparative model approach was used in this study.…

Guillot, Aymeric; Champely, Stephane; Batier, Christophe; Thiriet, Patrice; Collet, Christian – Advances in Health Sciences Education, 2007
This study investigated the relationship between visuo-spatial representation, mental rotation (MR) and functional anatomy examination results. A total of 184 students completed the Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT), Mental Rotation Test (MRT) and Gordon Test of Visual Imagery Control. The time spent on personal assignment was also considered.…

Lusk, Edward J.; Wright, Haviland – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1981
The Group Embedded Figures Test was administered to 416 randomly selected college students in science, liberal arts, business, or mathematics classes. No sex differences in performance or improvement were found when differences in curriculum were taken into account. (SJL)

Allen, Mary J.; And Others – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1982
Adults took the Rod and Frame, Portable Rod and Frame, and Embedded Figures Tests. Absolute and algebraic frame-effect scores were more reliable and valid than rod-effect algebraic scores. Correlations with the Embedded Figures Test were so low that the interchangeability of these field articulation measures is questionable. (Author/RD)
