A model is presented for group counseling with elementary students by school psychologists. A group counseling technique implemented with sixth-graders for the past four years is described. Group counseling may be appropriate for many students who need an intervention but do not qualify for formal placement. (BW)

Assessed the effectiveness of a program to improve classroom climate and conduct. The program consisted of counselor- and teacher- led guidance sessions, small group counseling sessions, and consultation with teachers.
