Three of the most significant types of counselor training programs to emerge in the 1960s are Microcounseling, Interpersonal Process Recall, and Human Relations Development. This paper reviews the research on these three programs and offers conclusions as to their effectiveness as well as suggestions for future directions in counselor training. (Author/LKS)
