A questionnaire was sent to Canadian counselor educators regarding the nature of training opportunities in counselor education. Fourteen universities were identified as offering masters degrees in counseling and were compared on several variables. Three aspects of social change which create a challenge for counselors are examined: 1) providing better opportunities for children who do not value education; 2) advising girls on their educational aspirations; and, 3) upgrading the certification of counselors. (Author/PC)
