Responses from 49 of 50 state supervisors found that (1) the change from industrial arts to technology education is appropriate; (2) change could be accelerated by adequate funding; (3) four states are expanding beyond the four clusters; (4) more resources for teacher retraining are needed; and (5) few cited teacher educators and school administrators as leaders in the transition.
