Canadians and non-Canadians residing in Canada (N=290) rated 20 life-decision areas as most influenced by personal values, family values, and cultural values. Non-Canadians gave higher ratings to cultural values than did Canadians; this was attributed to their reliance on heritage values, lacking full understanding of host country norms. (Author)
