Cubberley, Mark S.; Hess, William A.; Johnson, Mark B. – Journal of Chemical Education, 2020
A recirculating water vacuum pump was constructed from inexpensive materials. The recirculating water vacuum pump has a smaller footprint compared to many commercial models and features a novel, 3D-printed water aspirator pump that also functions with a standard laboratory faucet connection. The performances of both the recirculating water vacuum…

Carroll, Felix A.; Blauch, David N. – Journal of Chemical Education, 2017
3D printing was used to prepare models of the calculated geometries of unsaturated organic structures. Incorporation of p orbital isosurfaces into the models enables students in introductory organic chemistry courses to have hands-on experience with the concept of orbital alignment in strained and unstrained p systems.

McGrew, LeRoy A. – Journal of Chemical Education, 1972
Describes the development of a three-dimensional projection system used to present structural principles by means of slides. Polarization of images from two planar projectors and viewing through polarized lenses gives stereo results. Techniques used in producing the slides and constructing the equipment are given. (TS)
