The Satellite Union. Campus Planning Approach.
Williams, Philip C.
Consideration is given to planning as a process and the student union as a part of the total campus plan. An analytical programing approach is discussed as a prelude to architectural planning. Certain facts and problems, which are inherent in total campus planning and which have an external effect on the nature of the student union, are identified. Goals, problems, and questions relating specifically to the student union are discussed, with emphasis upon the emergence of the design of the student union as a function of the goals to be achieved and the problems to be solved on a campus.
