The views of Dr. Seymour Papert, developer of the LOGO programing language, are presented along with a general discussion of the potential of LOGO to open up computers to young children. (MP)

Before the end of this century, it is felt that students may be receiving all of their instruction from computers, with no contact with live teachers whatsoever. However, a new system is promoted that gives teachers new freedom of direction, with computers presenting material and eliminating the petty time-consuming work. (MP)

Responses to a recent survey of children's impressions of personal computers are provided. The views about computers in the classroom are thought to clearly show the ease pupils have with such machines in their daily lives. The students quoted are deemed enthusiastic, confident, and creative users. (MP)
