Simmons, Malcolm; Cope, Peter – Educational Studies in Mathematics, 1993
The study compared the levels of response of children aged 9 to 11 to angle/rotation problems presented on screen in a LOGO microworld with levels of response to similar problems presented on paper. Results suggest that immediate feedback from the screen turtle inhibited moves to higher levels of response. (Author/MDH)

Chirwa, Andrew S. – Journal of Educational Technology Systems, 1998
Investigates strategies elementary school children use to conceptualize materials in computer-based learning environments. Results show that 80% of the time students had attention focused on the learning material and gained an elevated level of awareness; the implication to instructional design is that courseware stimulates learning motivation if…

Cho, Eunsoon – Educational Technology Research and Development, 1998
Analyzes perceptions and attitudes of a two-way video tele-educational system between on-site students and remote-site students in elementary schools in a rural area of Korea. Concludes that instructional design and strategies should be approached separately to accommodate the different interactions involved in on-site and distance education. (AEF)
