For 24 consecutive school days a teacher-observer kept a log of classroom interruptions caused by persons who entered a sixth-grade class of 30 pupils. Data were analyzed for frequency and nature of interruptions on academic engagement, and the attitudes toward students projected by interrupters. (Author/RH)
