The Learning of Expectations and Attributions.
Bardwell, Rebecca
Education and Treatment of Children, v7 n3 p237-45 Sum 1984
To assess how children set expectations and make attributions, 117 first-, fourth-, and sixth-graders were given either homogeneous or heterogeneous false feedback for four pages of perceptual judgment problems. Older children, girls and persons receiving homogenous feedback had more accurate expectations than their counterparts. Attributional differences were found depending on the Ss's grade level.
