Planning Newsletters to Maximize Their Impact
Allen, Ray; McAtee, Christina
Strategies: A Journal for Physical and Sport Educators, v22 n4 p13-16 Mar-Apr 2009
A newsletter can be an effective component of a comprehensive plan for sharing information. A newsletter, in contrast to progress reports, surveys, open houses, or conferences, is a regular opportunity that allows for consistent sharing of information about the program. In this article, the authors discuss how to plan and produce newsletters and how to assess their impact on the community. They present an example of a newsletter that is constructed by the Center for the Enhancement of Physical Education Programming (CEPEP) and tailored to a specific school district. Each component of the newsletter is described in detail. (Contains 1 figure.)
