Efstratopoulou, Maria; Janssen, Rianne; Simons, Johan – Research in Developmental Disabilities: A Multidisciplinary Journal, 2012
The study examines the agreement among raters on children's problematic behaviors. Manning, Brenda H. – American Educational Research Journal, 1988
D. Meichenbaum's cognitive behavior modification theory was applied in a study of 30 first graders and 25 third graders who exhibited mild classroom problem behaviors. Results of the controlled study indicate that the self-instructional training method derived from the theory is a viable classroom management option for regular education. (TJH)

Five groups of approximately 50 children, grades 2 through 6, from each of five schools (four in low socioeconomic mostly black areas), originally referred for 1 or 2 years' support in a behaviorally oriented resource room, were followed up after regular class placement for 2 or 3 years. (MC)

Guttmann, Joseph – Journal of Educational Research, 1982
Pupils at an elementary school in Israel, their mothers, and their teachers were studied to determine how each group would attribute the causes of children's problem behavior. Pupils and teachers were apt to blame external factors. Parents tended to distribute responsibility for problems more evenly. (Author/PP)
