Using data from National Longitudinal Survey of the High School Class of 1972, this paper presents estimates of the price elasticity of the decision to apply to college. Calculations incorporating this price effect into earlier enrollment elasticity estimates suggest that true elasticity may be double the size reported in the literature. Includes 23 references.
