This study presents a cluster analysis of the Service Outcome Measurement Form (SOMF). The derived clusters resembled the originally intended structure more closely than an earlier factor analysis of a large sample. These results support factorial validity of the SOMF as an outcome and counselor effectiveness measure. (Author)

Compares the MMPI and Mini-Mult data using a sample of narcotics users. Results indicate that when correlations between corresponding MMPI and Mini-Mult scales are used, there is good correspondence; with respect to clinical evaluation and high point correspondence, there is low accuracy. This study investigated questions raised by previous research by Barak and LaCrosse regarding perceptions of counselor behavior. Different groups of subjects viewed interviews and rated them on 36 bipolar items (Counselor Rating Form).
