Weissbrod, Carol S. – Child Development, 1980
Results showed that short-term low-warmth inductions produced more charitability in second and fifth graders than short-term high-warmth inductions and that instructions encouraging charitability produced more generosity than selfish or permissive instructions. In addition, girls were found to be more generous overall than boys. (JMB)

Bussey, Kay; Perry, David G. – Sex Roles: A Journal of Research, 1982
After observing peer models display preferences toward various objects (subsequently sex-typed by experimenters), third and fourth graders registered their own preferences. Both boys and girls preferred same-sex objects to opposite-sex objects; but unlike boys, girls did not give lower priority to opposite-sex objects than to neutral ones.…

Nederhof, Anton J. – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1981
In this experiment conducted in the Netherlands, male and female interviewers tried to gain cooperation from a sample of female respondents in a study of women's liberation. Levy, Gary G.; And Others – 1989
Young children acquire a knowledge of, and beliefs about, gender-roles at a rapid rate. A total of four studies were conducted to examine some of the factors thought to mediate the impact of examiner's sex on children's gender-typed activities and cognitions. The first two studies looked at children's ratings of videotaped male and female adults…

Albino, Judith E.; Shuell, Thomas J. – 1977
Picture stimuli depicting females and males working together were shown to college students by either a male or a female experimenter. Subjects' responses to the pictures were assessed using standard need achievement scoring. Greenberg, Martin S.; Holmes, Robert – Social Behavior and Personality, 1978
Black males with a mean age of 5 years 7 months were randomly assigned to one of eight cells of a 2 X 2 X 2 factorial design. Results indicate that when the experimenter was White and female, absence of rewards inhibited preference for delayed rewards. Results support situational specificity of delay preference. To examine participant and examiner bias, graduate students posing as disabled examiners in a wheelchair administered the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale - Revised to 101 nondisabled college students. Janda, Louis H.; And Others – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1976
The effects of guilt and approachability of a female examiner upon the associative sexual responses of 48 men and 48 women were examined. It was found that low-guilt males made more sexual responses when tested by an approachable examiner than unapproachable examiner. Subjects' perceptions of the experimenters were also examined.
