Fowler, Patrick C. – Journal of Clinical Psychology, 1986
Two confirmatory maximum likelihood factor analytic models of the Personality Research Form-E are presented and discussed for the men's and women's standardization data. Overall, the patterns of correlations within each data matrix are highly similar, but the factor patterns, factor intercorrelations, as well as the error variances, do differ.…

Chansky, Norman M.; And Others – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1972
Purpose of this study was to determine the reproduciblity of the RSAP factor structure in college samples. (Authors)

Loo, Robert – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1982
The structure of the Group Embedded-Figures Test was examined. Data from 173 females and 93 males were subjected to Johnson's complete-linkage cluster analysis and principal components analysis. The results showed the importance of simple form type, especially Form E, the cube, and of item position. (Author/RD)

Mahoney, John; And Others – Sex Roles: A Journal of Research, 1979
This study examines the organization of male and female college students' values. The relationship between different value structures and attitudes toward women's liberation are discussed. (BE)

Thompson, Bruce – Journal of Experimental Education, 1989
The comparability of seven sets of factor structure studies reported in previous research with the Bem Sex-Role Inventory was evaluated. The inventory's primary factors were reproduced in the studies, although the masculine scale was somewhat less invariant than was the feminine counterpart. (SLD)

Hoferek, Mary J. – 1981
A factor analysis, using the varimax rotated procedure, was conducted on Bem Sex-Role Inventory (BSRI) data from a random sampling of the national physical education organizations mailing list of physical education teachers. Of 458 potential respondents, 302 returned questionnaires, of which 298 complete questionnaires were used in the analysis.…

Drummond, Robert J.; McIntire, Walter G. – Measurement and Evaluation in Guidance, 1977
This article examines the factor structure of two measures of self-concept routinely used with elementary school children: the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory and the Self-Concept and Motivation Inventory. (Author)

O'Connor, Elizabeth A.; And Others – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1996
Examined gender differences in the patterns of process use for smoking cessation using the Processes of Change Questionnaire. Results demonstrated the structure of the measure for men and women was invariant at the level of the variance-covariance matrices and that the hypothesized two-factor model fit the data. Only state of change predicted the…

Kass, Richard A.; And Others – 1982
The purpose of this research is to examine the factor structure of the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), Forms 8, 9, and 10. The ASVAB consists of ten subtests: General Science; Arithmetic Reasoning; Word Knowledge; Paragraph Comprehension; Numerical Operations; Coding Speed; Auto Shop Information; Mathematics Knowledge;…

Marsh, Herbert W.; And Others – Journal of Educational Psychology, 1984
Factor analyses of responses to the Self-Description Questionnaire (SDQ) by children in grades two to five clearly identified the seven SDQ factors, and correlations among these factors were consistent with Shavelson's model. The results also suggest that these factors become more distinct with age. (Author/BW)

Reynolds, Cecil R.; Harding, Richard E. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1983
Six methods of measuring factorial similarity were compared with regard to outcome based on two large data sets, one for an intelligence test and the other for a personality test. All indexes yielded comparable results. Comparing factors determined at random, all indexes yielded comparable results leading to a conclusion of dissimilarity.…

Ratliff, Elyse Sutherland; Conley, James – Social Behavior and Personality, 1981
Investigated the structure of sex role self-descriptors. Factor analyzed responses of female and male undergraduates to the Bem Sex Role Inventory. Seven factors emerged: personal warmth, social dominance, autonomy, affect, masculinity-feminity, vulnerability, and responsibility. Results support a multidimensional conception of…

Dozois, David J. A.; Ahnberg, Jamie L.; Dobson, Keith S. – Psychological Assessment, 1998
Provides psychometric information on the second edition of the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II) (A. Beck, R. Steer, and G. Brown, 1996) for internal consistency, factorial validity, and gender differences. Results indicate that the BDI-II is a stronger instrument than its predecessor in terms of factor structure. (SLD)
