This study examined the sex role concepts of women (N=150). It was hypothesized that given the growing influence of the women's movement, women would not conceptualize healthy women and men in terms of sex role stereotypes. An Analysis of responses to the Spence-Helmreich Attitudes Toward Women Scale by the Loevinger-Wessler Stages of ego development is presented in this article.
