Student aid has changed greatly over recent decades. Tuition costs have increased dramatically, increased competition for students has given rise to enrollment management, and increased funding for federal programs has led to expanded federal involvement in student financial aid. (JM)

Upward Bound directors in Maine began collaboration in the early 1980s and have developed a network that plays an important part in serving their students. This article is a collection of their comments about this collaboration and their Upward Bound programs. (JM)

This summarizes a study about how well California State University, Chico, Upward Bound participants persist in postsecondary education. Upward Bound graduates entered, are persisting toward their educational goal, or have completed their goal in a single postsecondary institution at a higher rate than the national college-going population.
