The Medical School of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, includes a required six-week rural rotation for medical students during the fourth year of their five-year program. Results of an opinion survey show that 63.4 percent are willing to work in rural areas. Implications for change in medical schools are discussed. (LBH)
