As part of an ongoing project in comprehensive school health, the effect of the presence of school-health aides on a nurse's daily activities was examined. Substantial decreases occurred in the time spent by the nurse for first aid and administration of routine medicine, while time devoted to problem-oriented assessment increased 154 percent. (JN)
