Test-retest correlations were determined on all scales of the Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory for 208 high school seniors. The interval between testings was three months. Correlations are reported separately for males, females, and for the combined group. (Author)

The hypothesis that sexist wording as opposed to gender-neutral wording lowers the scores of females on interest measures was tested using occupational titles with a sample of 94 high school girls. Results lend no support to the hypothesis. (Author)

Standard scores on comparable scales of the Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory and the ACT Interest Inventory were intercorrelated to test construct validity of the instruments. Significant correlations were found for the comparable scales demonstrating construct validity for male and female high school students (N=91). (Author)

Examined the equivalency of the Spanish translation of the Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory to the English version. The results indicated that the translated version was comparable to the English version and that the two forms elicited similar interests. (JAC)

Data on the reliability and validity of the sex-valances scales are summarized along with data from previous research on sex-balanced scales and reporting procedures. Data include that sex differences currently found in interest inventory scores may simply be an unfortunate legacy from an era that took traditional sex roles for granted. (Author)
