Presents the Relationship Events Scale, a measure of courtship progress, which consists of 19 items marking the occurrence of specific events in dating relationships, grouped in six levels to form a Guttman scale. Investigations of the Inventory of Learning Processes (ILP) with college freshmen revealed satisfactory internal consistency coefficients for two of the four ILP scales but cast doubt on the factor structure of the inventory.
