The usual model of action learning includes within its framework the role and function of the set adviser. This article provides an account, by its members, of an action learning set operating with no set adviser. Based on the assumption that educators need to be concerned with the quality of relationships between faculty and students, an alternative advising model is proposed that enhances the behavioral requirements of creative learning.
