Examined the concurrent validity of Holland's theory for men and women employed in an enterprising occupation as well as the degree of personality-environment correspondence and relationships of personality type to job satisfaction. College students rated an academic advisor, a vocational counselor, or a psychotherapist on 10 characteristics and subsequently rated each of the three types of counseling situations on how "personal" they perceived each to be. This study investigated objections to Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) items by black and white males and females classified as high or low trust by Rotter's Interpersonal Trust Scale.
